PVC heat shrink film can be produced using the extrusion blow molding method. Taking the PVC heat shrink film used for covering dry batteries as an example, its typical formula includes: 100 parts of PVC-SG4 or PVC-SG5 resin; 4 parts of MCS; 4 parts of DOP; 3 parts of DCP; 2 parts of organotin stabilizer; 2 parts of epoxy ester; 0.5 part of chelating agent; 0.2 part of stearic acid; and 0.2 part of calcium carbonate. The above materials are kneaded, plasticized through extrusion, stretched, and then cooled to set, resulting in the final product.

Molding and Processing

The process employs an extrusion blow molding method. The extruder used is a conventional, unequal depth gradual transition single screw extruder, with a screw diameter of Φ30mm, a length-to-diameter ratio of 25:1, and a compression ratio of 3:1. The head is a cross-shaped flat blow head. The main process conditions are: rear section temperature of the extruder at 170〜175℃, middle and front sections at 180〜185℃, and the head temperature around 180℃; the temperature of the hot water used for heating and stretching is 85〜95℃; and the cooling water temperature for setting is at ambient temperature.
